In all cases, the English version is the official and legally binding version.

Welcome to Star Path English. By booking a class, trial, or package/plan with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies exist to create a smooth, professional learning experience for both students and parents.


  1. Lesson Information
    • All lessons are 1-to-1 online classes taught by a UK native, TEFL/TESOL-certified teacher.
    • Each lesson is 50 minutes, unless stated otherwise.
    • Lessons take place on Zoom / Voov.
    • Students should join on time, with a working camera, microphone, and stable internet.


  2. Trial Class Policy
    • Each student may book, and is limited to, one free 30-minute placement class.
    • The trial class has no obligation to continue.
    • A parent/guardian should be available to help younger students connect and communicate basic information.


  3. Attendance, Cancellations & Rescheduling
    To respect everyone’s time:
    • 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
    • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged as a completed lesson.
    • No-shows (student does not attend within the first 15 minutes) count as a completed lesson.
    • If the teacher needs to reschedule, you will always receive a new lesson time with no penalty.
    Emergency Allowance:
    Each student may use 1 emergency cancellation per month without penalty (illness, unavoidable issues).


  4. Lateness
    • If the student is late, the class will still end at the scheduled time.
    • If the teacher is late, you will receive the full lesson time. If full lesson time is unavailable that day, it will be compensated for in a later class or rescheduled without charge.


  5. Technical Issues
    • If the student’s internet, device, software, or power fails, the lost time cannot be refunded or extended.
    • If the teacher experiences technical issues, resulting in being unable to give the full lesson time, the class will be rescheduled at no cost.
    • A backup communication method (WeChat) should be available for quick problem-solving.


  6. Payments & Packages/Plans
    • Payment is required before lessons begin.
    • Our Packages/Plans validity from after the first lesson is complete is as follows:
    3 months (10 class pack)
    7 months (25 class pack)
    14 months (50 class pack)
    • Our package validity includes extra time to allow for holidays, illness, and scheduling flexibility.
    • Unused lessons do not carry over after the expiry date.
    • Lessons cannot be transferred to another child without permission.


  7. Refund Policy
    • Refund = Total package cost – (completed lessons × standard single-lesson rate)
    • No refunds will be given for any completed classes.
    3-Month Plan (10 lessons)
    Refunds allowed
    • You may cancel as long as the student has completed fewer than 3 lessons.
    • Any completed lessons will be charged at the standard single-lesson rate (USD $35 / ¥249).
    • The remaining balance will be refunded
    Refunds not allowed
    • Once 3 or more lessons have been completed, the plan becomes non-refundable.

    6-Month Plan (25 lessons)

Refunds allowed
• You may cancel as long as the student has completed fewer than 4 lessons.
• Any completed lessons will be charged at the standard single-lesson rate (USD $35 / ¥249).
• The remaining balance will be refunded.
Refunds not allowed
• Once 4 or more lessons have been completed, the plan becomes non-refundable.

12-Month Plan (50 lessons)

Refunds allowed
• You may cancel as long as the student has completed fewer than 6 lessons.
• Any completed lessons will be charged at the standard single-lesson rate (USD $35 / ¥249).
• The remaining balance will be refunded.
Refunds not allowed
• Once 6 or more lessons have been completed, the plan becomes non-refundable.


  1. Learning Materials & Curriculum
    • Students receive access to Raz-Kids, included for free with any active plan.
    • Each student’s Raz-Kids login remains active while their plan is active.
    • After a plan ends, the student will have up to 1 month to renew a new plan.
    • If no renewal is made within 1 month, the student’s Raz-Kids login will be deactivated.
    • Additional resources may be provided by the teacher as needed.
    • The teacher will place the student at an appropriate English level after the trial class.


  2. Parent & Teacher Responsibilities
    Teacher responsibilities:
    • Provide structured, level-appropriate lessons
    • Track progress and offer regular updates
    • Communicate professionally and on time
    • Maintain a supportive learning environment

Parent responsibilities:
• Ensure the student has a stable internet connection
• Help the student join class on time
• Provide a quiet study environment
• Check messages and updates from the teacher
• Support reading practice at home when possible


  1. . Privacy & Safety
    • Student information is confidential and will not be shared.
    • Photos/screenshots/videos of lessons will only be used with parental permission.
    • Parents are responsible for ensuring a safe learning area (no running, sharp objects, or dangerous items).

    Star Path English is not responsible for any injuries or damage that occur due to the student’s environment, equipment, or behaviour.
